INSTALLING THE POWER BI GATEWAY

If you need to install the Power BI Gateway on your on-premises server, follow the steps below. This gateway can be installed on the SQL server itself, or a different server that can connect to the SQL server.

Login to the Power BI online service with your username and password.

Click on the download icon and select “Power BI Gateways”.

Choose the gateway that best suits your needs (either ‘personal’ or ‘for enterprise use’) by clicking “Download” under the appropriate option.
